But yeah, since that thread I've been like "Wth why not celebrate, it sounds sweet I'll do it" lolI bought my sweet a present, made him another one, and am now mulling some wine n making a simple dinner. Already have the funny poems and some pranks. Already book a place in a little motel in a quaint little town. Already have the tent in the room. We don't celebrate V day so I'm excited to see his reactions. Initially I want to do some outdoor activities, but yeah in this weather it's best to stay warm and cozy inside hehe Lol probably due to transit venus. It conjuncts my natal venus exact on the 13th and nearly exact on the 14th AriesLilithMy husband is preparing things, planning our dinner. But all I want is to have fun and love. SibylI'm ordering take-away with my flatmate and watching a movie. Her boyfriend is 400 miles away, and I don't have anyone.I don't know, I don't much care for valentine's. I think people should celebrate their anniversaries instead, and not make the rest of us feel lonely by announcing their love so publically on valentine's day. People keep posting and sending me pictures of their candle-lit dinners, flowers, chocolates, cards and gifts and I think it is a little thoughtless. In addition to this, being in a relationship has become such a status symbol, and people are definitely taking advantage of valentine's day to tell everyone that they are in one. I don't like this trend. I know so many insecure people who are completely dependent on being in a relationship to the point where they 1) will take just about anyone and 2) will not leave the relationship even if it is not fruitful (as in not character-building or even loving).Basically,I think there are just so many nicer things to celebrate.RandallSingle Awareness DayHeraI am alone on V day too, so what? I am glad people out there share their love, I like that sort of energy spreading out. It doesn't make me exactly a bundle of joy coz I admit it hurts to be separated from my SO, but I am happy for them. HeraMuddy and AriesLilith, let us know how it went! LovelyAries86Happy Valentine's Day to you all too!!! I'm on the fence about celebrating today. It's snowing outside, for one. And also, I'm not too enthusiastic about ANY guy I know right now. So I can take it or leave it this year lol.
